TaskLens ("we", "us", "our") provides a field employee tracking and business productivity application. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the TaskLens app or website, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
- Account information — name, phone number, email address, employer/organization, role, and profile photo (if provided).
- Location data — GPS location collected during work sessions for attendance verification, live tracking, route history and distance calculation. Location tracking is tied to check-in/check-out and duty status configured by your organization. The app may collect location in the background while you are on duty, as required for these features.
- Attendance & activity data — check-ins/check-outs, working hours, tasks, task statuses, leads, follow-ups, notes and internal chat messages created within the app.
- Visiting card scans — when you use the card scanner, the camera image is processed to extract contact details (name, phone, email, company), which are saved as a contact in your organization's CRM. Card images and extracted details are used only to create the contact.
- Device & usage information — device model, operating system, app version, identifiers, crash logs and diagnostics used to keep the app reliable and secure.
2. How we use information
- To provide the core features of TaskLens: GPS attendance, live tracking, distance and route reports, task management, lead/CRM management and team chat.
- To generate dashboards, reports and analytics for your organization.
- To operate, maintain, secure and improve the app and website.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Employer relationship
TaskLens is a workplace tool. If you use TaskLens as an employee, your organization (our customer) controls the account, decides which features are enabled (including location tracking), and can access the work data collected — such as attendance, locations during duty hours, tasks and leads. Questions about how your organization uses this data should be directed to your employer. Location is intended to be tracked during work sessions; employees can see their own tracking status in the app.
4. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Your organization — the employer account that registered you, as described above.
- Service providers — hosting, cloud infrastructure, map services, analytics and communication providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
- Legal requirements — where required by law, regulation, legal process or to protect rights, safety and security.
5. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as the organization's account remains active and as needed to provide the service. When an account is deleted or a retention period expires, data is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards — including encryption in transit, access controls and secure cloud infrastructure — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work continuously to protect your data.
7. Your rights & choices
- Access, correct or update your profile information in the app.
- Request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us (workplace data may be subject to your employer's control and legal retention requirements).
- Control device permissions (location, camera, notifications) in your phone settings — note that disabling location or camera will limit core features such as GPS attendance and card scanning.
8. Children's privacy
TaskLens is a business application intended for working adults. It is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Third-party services
The app uses third-party services such as map providers and app-store platforms (Google Play, Apple App Store), which have their own privacy policies. Links from our website or app to third-party sites are governed by those sites' policies.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date, and where appropriate notify you in the app.
